The Story behind P.W.House Jewellers
A 3rd Generation Family Independent Jewellers
Established in 1943 by Percy and Hilda House, for the first nine years Percy ran the business from home, after being admitted into the British Watch and Clockmakers Guild, he then bought his first shop just off the High Street and started trading.
Moving to new premises in the High Street in 1952 it continued to flourish and is now currently being run by Percy and Hilda's son, Adrian, who joined the business in 1973 and helped steer the business through unprecedented changes, not only in the industry, but in the economy.
Following the UK lockdown, Adrian's son Jonathan, who has spent the last 10+ years in London working in fine jewellery and luxury pre-owned watches has now joined the business and is helping take the business into the 21st century.
When you enter our shop you will be looked after by staff who can call on a total of over 100 years of experience in the independent jewellery trade.
Unlike the multiples, we have an unsurpassed knowledge of suppliers and goods available in the UK. We deal mainly with low volume manufacturers who supply us with a different range of goods with an emphasis on quality and value for money.
